New Product Announcement

Laboratory Test Coater - CAD-S1.5/MND

Features: High quality coated film samples using very small quantities of coating solutions. Micro Gravure™, Slot Die, and "applicator box" coating methods are included.

Web handling and drying are designed for very high quality coated samples for 'high tech' product research. Set-point for drying temperature is up to 120° C.

Micro Gravure™ solution tray requires a maximum of 11 ml of coating solution to fill, and coating continues down to 5 ml of remaining solution.

Slot die has "fill up" volume of only 2.7 ml of solution, from a pneumatically operated 'hypodermic' cartridge. Maximum volume is 30 ml.

Standard width of coating is 50 mm. Coating width may be increased up to 150 mm width.

Coating Machine - Expert Designer

Yasui Seiki Co., (USA) is happy to announce the arrival of Hiroshi Mino, one of our company's leading coating/laminating machine designers.

Mr. Mino has many years of successes in pushing the envelope for super-high quality coatings through unrivaled coating, drying, web handling and speed/tension expertise. Mr. Mino recently completed the design and supervised construction of the OS-750 coater in our Oumura Coating Research Laboratory. OS-750 has a Cleanroom Class 500 coating area and CL 3000 in the winding area.

Mr. Mino is providing design and modification consulting services for upgrading existing Yasui Seiki and other builders' coating/laminating machines in the North American market.

New Labo Facility Open

Opening Ceremony in July, 2001

Labo has opened its new facility in Omura city, Nagasaki.

Yasui Group, parent company of Yasui Seiki Co. (USA), Bloomington, IN, opened a third Coating Research Laboratory in October in Omura, Japan. The new facility focuses on development of safe drying technologies for thick ceramic tape, as well as ink-jet media and machine development. The Omura lab features a 29-inch-wide coater, equipped with three zones of Yasui’s counterflow drying, then three zones of step air-bar dryers. The coater also incorporates both Micro Gravure™ and slot die heads. A second line is being designed with Micro Gravure, slot die, knife, applicator box and dip methods.
