We at YASUI have developed a reputation for supplying the technology needed to satisfy our customers' precision coating needs. We recognize the marketplace demands increasingly difficult requirements that continue to challenge Converters to create new products, to control the costs of production, and to improve quality, efficiency and productivity. We design and manufacture precision Micro Gravure™ and Slot Die coating heads and complete coating systems. In our Labo facility we supply laboratory coating development services and prototype production coating capabilities. We recognize that time to market is a critical business requirement, and we emphasize an expedited supply of materials and minimize "red tape".

At Yasui, our customers' increasingly demanding requirements encourage our continuous effort toward technology improvement and therefore help us to be able to deliver our target of meeting and exceeding our customers' expectations for today and tomorrow.

Home of our US operations is in Bloomington, Indiana, where we have an office and test coating laboratory. Present capabilities 300 mm wide Micro Gravure™ and Slot Die Coating. Second machine for 700 mm wide test and development coating work was installed in September, 2000 and has been operational since then.
Yasui Seiki established Coating Research Centers in Japan and U.S.A. to provide coating research facilities for the coating industry. Since 1986 over 3000 test coatings have been produced for customers developing new coated materials. These coating research centers' services shorten the development to commercialization cycle through state-of-the-art equipment, measuring and analytical tools and experienced lab staff members.

Office and Laboratory facilities are in Ayase City, Kanagawa, Japan. New Research & Development Center has opened in Omura, Nagasaki since August, 2001.

Test facility for Customers for coated product design and cooperative production.
Services include consultation, formulation, emulsion and dispersion capabilities and access to coating material suppliers for specialty materials.
Scale of coatings is from mechanized draw-down type up to full scale (1600 mm wide) prototype and production runs. Testing capabilities include a range of instruments for thickness, magnetic, optical, surface property, SEM, friction, abrasion, and so on. LABO or Customer's personnel operate the testing equipment.
Confidentiality of products and Customers is strictly enforced. Confidentiality/secrecy agreements are routinely made.
