Yasui Seiki Co., (USA)

Yasui Seiki Scope of Capabilities

Core Competency:  “Liquid-on-Web” Coating.

We strive to be The BEST at what we do”

Range of Capabilities:

  •  Webs – just flexible enough to wind around a 6 inch core, or as thin as 1.6 micron PET.  Almost any material or construction, films, paper, composites, cloth, foils, foam sheeting, rubber sheets, etc.  Width from a few mm, up to 2,000 mm.

  •  Liquids – 1 cPs to 20,000+ cPs, solvent base, water base, 100 pct solids, Wet  Thickness from 0.5 micron to 1 mm.

  •  ‘Curing’/Drying – Air (heated, conditioned or not conditioned), UV, E-Beam, or catalyst systems, or laminated wet between webs. Temperatures std. 150 deg C.

Machines:

  •  Coating Methods – patented “Micro Gravure™”, Slot Die, various style knife coaters, smooth roll, offset and direct gravure, Meyer rod, air knife, etc.

  • Yasui Seiki build - new coating heads, - design and build modifications to existing machines, and - supply complete “turn-key” multi web production machines (LCD assembly, special products, etc) including coating and laminating stations.

Coating Technology:

  • Labo Services (Services moved to MIRWEC Film, Inc.)

    • Contracted Development and Test Coating of New Products

    • Formulation of new coating solutions

    • Slurry preparation, formulation and process development

    • Pilot phase production of coated products

    • Full range of magnetic, optical, and physical measurement instrumentation

  •  Range of Experience – Energy storage, magnetics, medical, electronics, displays, barrier, optical, AR films, industrial, graphic arts, packaging, and MANY others.

Our Claims:

  • The Best, fastest, most uniform, and most popular ceramic slip casting machines for 1 to 20 micron thickness dry “green sheets” (for MLCC) in the world.

  • The Thinnest wet coating of 0.70 microns giving a dry thickness of 0.007 microns,( 7 nm or 70 Angstroms) for a magnetic tape application, +/- 1.5 pct profile.

  • The Highest Quality AR films produced by the economical “liquid-on-web” route.

  • The Most Uniform lamination equipment for optical laminations, LCD ‘cells’, without voids, bubbles, optical distortions or unsymmetrical stresses.

  • The Most Robust coating machinery.  Even a used, “light duty” Yasui Seiki lab test coater operated 3 shifts/day for 6 years making lithium ion batteries before suffering a mechanical failure, which cost $ 300 for a repair part.

  • The Most Loyal Customers – 90 pct of our sales are  to repeat Customers – We help ensure our Customers’ successes, and this guarantees our success.
