Materials developments require adding multi functionality, using a variety of materials and accelerating product development speed. Since the establishment of Labo Co., Ltd. in 1986, Labo provides services to Customers, helping their development through over 10,000 coating test sessions, new product developments, preparation of samples, contracted R&D, and toll manufacturing of semi-market size lots of new products. Our facility in Bloomington, Indiana works in close conjunction with our Japanese facilities to assist Customers in our US market.

In order to develop new products having high-performance with multi-functionality, it is most critical to quickly judge the type of coating that is most suitable and the most important parameters of investigation. These judgments require highly trained and experienced people. Our researchers in Labo can provide proper judgments and advice due to broad experience in Coating Materials and Processes.

Labo is among the best of the "Liquid on web" coating research laboratories in the world, due to our talented staff and comprehensive coating solution preparation equipment, coating equipment, and analytical instruments.

In recent years, contract developments (including materials development) are ever increasing, and we continue to accelerate the speed of developments for Customers. In the last several years, Labo has provided over 35 contracted developments for our Customers, in addition to thousands of coating test sessions.  Our services have proven valuable to our Customers as we serve them as essential members of their own development staff.
